Individual Accident
No matter how careful you are, there¡¯s always a chance
that an accident can occur. Whether you¡¯re taking bus to work or
walking in the street, an unforeseen event can happen to you. Individual
Personal Accident insurance can help protect your family from financial
losses caused by your accidental death or disabilities defined
in the policy.
1. Accidental Death, Dismemberment & Major Burn
Benefit (ADD)
When one suffers any one of the following losses
after an accident:
- Loss of life ¨C the principle sum shall be payable
- Dismemberment, loss or major burn as specified
in the schedule of indemnity ¨C the percentage of indemnity (10%
- 100%) shall be payable
2. Renewal Bonus (RB)
Renewal bonus of 6% increase on the original accidental
death & dismemberment (ADD) benefit up to 5 renewal years or
130%.
3. Compassionate Death Allowance (CDA)
In the event of death, the deceased¡¯s next-of-kin
will be paid an immediate compassionate death allowance of £¤3,000.
This allowance is not deductible from the principal sum assured.
4. Double Indemnity (DI)
Should an accident occur while one is riding solely
as a passenger in any public conveyance coverage licensed to carry
passengers or suffers from a fire in school or hospital compound,
the compensation shall be double the original principal ADD. Public
conveyance includes bus, taxi, airplane, lift and escalator.
5. Accidental Medical Reimbursement (AMR)
Covers medical expenses, one will be reimbursed for
medical and surgical expenses incurred up to a maximum amount selected.
6. Accidental Weekly Indemnity (AWI)
In case one is disabled and prevented from performing
his occupation as a result of accident, a weekly income of the
amount selected will be payable, up to 26 consecutive weeks.
7. Hospital Income & Intensive Care Unit
(HI & ICU)
When one is hospitalized due to sickness (commencing
after a waiting period of 30 days) or due to accidental injuries
sustained immediately after the policy effective date, a daily
hospital income of the amount selected will be payable up to 180
days.
