Generali China Life Awarded "The Best Annual Joint-venture Insurer 2009 "
Recently the Third Gold Cicada Award Ceremony jointly organized by CCTV-Finance and China Times was held in Beijing. Generali China Life Insurance Company Co., Ltd. (GCL) won the only big award for foreign and joint-venture insurers¡ª¡ª" The Best Annual Joint-venture Insurer 2009 ". At the same time, GCL Fu Xiang Jin Sheng Endowment Insurance (participating) sold through GCL Agency Channel and providing long-term protections was awarded "The Best Endowment Insurance Product 2009 ".
In the past year, GCL kept growing steadily and solidly and made great achievements. In 2009 the total premium income of GCL has made great improvement over the year before with a production about double, far above the average annual growth rate of the whole life insurance industry in China.
At present, the registered capital of GCL is 2.7 billion Yuan, and the total assets of the company are more than 30 billion Yuan. GCL is the largest Joint-venture life insurance company in China.
GCL is the only insurance company which won two awards simultaneously in the ceremony. Huang Nan, Deputy General Manager of GCL, attended the ceremony. She told journalists that the two awards were recognition of the hard work and progress GCL had made and with the backing of Generali Group¡¯s 178 years of insurance experience and the strength of CNPC and Generali, GCL will provide better products and services to meet the demands of clients in China.
