On 7th July, Fortune magazine announced the 2014 global 500 companies. Both shareholders of GCL increased their ranks by one place from 2013, remaining firmly within the top 50. China National Petroleum Corporation （hereinafter referred to as CNPC）ranks 4th on the rankings in terms of revenue, and Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A. (hereinafter referred to as Generali) is 48th.
